Porini Catchers (“we”, “us”) is a safari and tour operator based in Arusha, Tanzania. This policy explains what personal information we collect through porinicatchers.com, why we collect it and how we look after it.

Information we collect

• Booking and enquiry forms: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, travel dates, group size, interests, budget and any message you send us.
• Direct contact: anything you share with us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Booking details: once you book, we may need passport details, dietary and medical information relevant to your safety, and emergency contacts. We collect this only when needed to arrange your trip.
• Technical data: like most websites, our server records basic information such as IP address and browser type for security and to keep the site working.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare your itinerary and quote
• To make bookings with lodges, parks, airlines and other suppliers on your behalf
• To send you important information about your trip
• To meet legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary with the suppliers who deliver your trip: accommodation providers, park authorities, transport companies and, if you request it, insurance providers. Our website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, and our emails are delivered through its mail servers.

Our contact page shows an embedded Google Map, and our WhatsApp links open WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. These services have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to help you plan your trip, and booking records for as long as required by Tanzanian law for accounting and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete enquiry data at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email info@porinicatchers.com and we will respond promptly.

Security

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
