Fully Day Itinerary

We pick you up early from Arusha so you can make the most of the day. The drive up through the highlands is scenic in its own right, passing Maasai villages and changing landscapes as you climb toward the crater rim. Once you descend into the Serengeti, the real fun begins. You’ll jump straight into an afternoon game drive, scanning the plains for lions, elephants, and maybe even a leopard if you’re lucky. It’s a long day of travel, but seeing the wildlife right away makes every mile worth it. You’ll end the day at your camp or lodge inside the park, falling asleep to the sounds of the wilderness.
Highlights: Scenic highland drive, Maasai village views, afternoon game drive, sunset on the plains.
MealsPlan: Lunch en route | Overnight: Serengeti camp/lodge.
Today is all about the Serengeti. Without the pressure of packing up camp, you can head out early with your guide to different zones of the park. You might spend the morning near the rivers looking for crocodiles and then move to the open grasslands for predators. If you’re visiting during migration season, the herds of wildebeest and zebra can stretch as far as you can see. For something extra special, you can add an optional hot air balloon ride at dawn to see the plains from above. It’s a full day in the bush, with a picnic lunch out in the wild, giving you plenty of time to soak it all in.
Highlights: Full-day game drives, Big Five tracking, Great Migration (seasonal), optional balloon

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner | Overnight: Serengeti camp/lodge
After breakfast, you’ll have one last morning game drive as you slowly make your way out of the Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro highlands. The scenery shifts again as you climb up, the air gets cooler, and the greenery becomes lush. You’ll stop for lunch along the way, keeping an eye out for wildlife even during the transfer. Once you reach the crater rim, you can relax at your lodge. Some people choose to visit a local Maasai boma to learn about their culture, while others just enjoy the view from the rim. It’s a quieter day, giving you a chance to rest up before the big finale tomorrow.
Highlights: En route game viewing, Ngorongoro highland scenery, cultural visit options, crater rim views
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner | Overnight: Ngorongoro crater rim lodge
The last day starts early with a descent into the crater floor. This place is unique a massive natural bowl where thousands of animals live year-round. It’s one of the best places to spot the rare black rhino, along with hippos in the pools and flamingos on the lakes. You’ll spend a few hours driving around the floor, having a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before climbing back up the crater wall. From there, it’s a straightforward drive back to Arusha. You’ll arrive in the evening, tired but happy, with memory cards full of photos and a real sense of what Tanzania is all about.
Highlights: Crater floor game drive, black rhino sighting, flamingo lakes, picnic lunch
